We messaged a couple we saw on a swinging platform after they commented on how sexy a photo of us was. We introduced ourselves and mentioned how long weâd been in the lifestyle. They responded with their own intro and mentioned they werenât really in the lifestyle but liked to meet people and have occasional fun. We let them know that âin the lifestyleâ just meant that we have sex with others together and that it wasnât anything too serious, you know. We asked if âhad some fun on occasionâ meant the same for them. We just wanted to be clear about what they were into. They responded, âWell we're not swingers if that's what you mean lol.â We were a bit confused but we asked what they meant exactly by fun and told them boundaries were important because we wanted to respect their dynamic. They told us âItâs ok good luckâ.
Did we do anything wrong? Lol would love some feedback because weâre not sure what happened. We donât mind that they lost interest, weâre just not sure why. Is this a learning opportunity or were they a bit off đ”âđ«?
People get weird when conversations get real. Probably wonât be the last time you deal with something like this. I like to cut to the chase, especially if itâs on a platform where the intention is meeting people to have sex. Iâm amazed at how many pretenders are out there. It easy to weed them out when you start asking basic sex questions and they either flake or have some canned vanilla answers.
