Recently had an experience in a club where we struggled on how best to tell a couple we weren’t interested. We were one of only a few younger couples on this particular evening. A really good looking interracial couple chatted us up and invited us to hang out. We had a good time with them but we were both intentional in not flirting as I knew the wife was not up to play with them.
We politely removed ourselves but ran into them a short time later and they finally asked if we’d want to play. Wife is not into the particular race of the guy(she simply isn’t attracted to him, though he was super nice). We’ve politely declined others in the past but she didn’t know the right way to turn him down when she knew it was because of his race. She felt like being honest would be too brutal. Any others ran into a similar situation? If so how did you handle?
It does if the reason you don't is because of race.

This is weird. Good looking couple but not into "that race"? I'd focus on that rather than how to tell a couple it isn't a match.
It does if the only reason is because of race. Just like it would be racist for a black person to not want to be with a white person solely because of their race.

In the post, it says the reason. Try reading again.

Literal definition of racism.
This gets brought up every couple of months here on this sub, and the parade ensues.
I'll say it to you as I believe I will be taken in sincerity. I believe we all have a certain level of racism in us, which can be as mild as a subtle preference towards those who look like us. That said, if you don't want to fuck those of a different race just try and be better and don't mention that until things change. Keep it to yourself. OP can have the same result by simply saying, "There isn't an attraction".
Arguing that it's not racism doesn't help fight against racism. Well-intentioned "non racists" justified segregation for decades until that archaic mentality, for the most part, disappeared.
