Scenario:

You go on a dinner date with a new couple, it goes swimmingly and you leave with plans to meet in a private setting soon.

When leaving the date do you kiss the opposite sex member of the couple on the cheek or on the lips?

(I don't mean some big slobbery kiss either way, just a quick lips closed peck).

We're pretty new to this and we have gone on 2 first dates.

I went 0 for 2. The first I kissed on the cheek, she was aiming for kissing on the lips.

So the second I tried to kiss on the lips, she was aiming for cheek.

What should I do for the tie-breaker?

Everyone is different...there is no "right" answer.

Either ask or go with the flow.

It kinda the same thing as any other date. The only difference you have to see what the vibe is with her and her partner. We have gone out on 1st dates where it just a hug, dates that end in a full open mouth kiss. Just like dating as a single person. Just go with the flow.
