This might appear like an advertisement, but it is not. I will be asking for advice on how or where to advertise for this unique situation. We are not ready to actually do this yet.

My partner and I (m50 and f50) are heading from Central America to the South Pacific on my 53ft sailboat in April. We already have experienced (sailing experience) crew to help with watches and the 25-30 day passage. This is all figured out. This crew is not in the LS as far as we know.

After arrival to the márqueses (French Polynesia), the crew will leave and we will have our alone time for a while. We will slowly cruise the boat across the pacific islands towards either Australia or Thailand. Perhaps for 1-2 years.

Eventually, we have both had this idea to invite extra “crew” for some period of time to have fun. We have some LS experiences. She is way more experienced than me, but I am very open to it, and what I have done with her has gone well. She also has previous unicorn experience.

We would consider a female, male, couple, or any other combination. In swinger situations, we can present ourselves as plain vanilla swingers if we need to, but we prefer a more group play.

Operating a 54’ sailboat is a lot of work, and crew needs to clean, cook, and help in many ways. It sounds like paradise, but let me assure you that it can be scary, uncomfortable, hot, etc.

I think it would be a requirement that the crew have some sailing experience, so they know what they are getting into. At the same time enjoy some extended play parties on the boat in some exotic locations. Would be a dream for some and hell for others.

So… Do we run an add on a crew finder site and get banned for suggesting lifestyle behaviors?

Do we reach out to swinging communities, if so globally, how? Then weed out people who lack sailing experience who might end up seasick and fed up with rolly anchorages.

We have some BDSM/kink stuff we do between ourselves, and we usually keep that to ourselves. So advertising to the kink community is probably not a match for us. We also have not decided how much of that we would be willing to open up to others.

To make it even more complicated, my partner f50 is bi, and I m50 and recently exploring the idea of it. I have not acted on it, but might be willing in the right situation. So, we prefer to find people who have an open attitude.

We look young for being 50, hopefully our age isn’t an obstacle.

Whoever would visit would need to pay for their own flights and chip in for food and entertainment. Example, the crew would need to fly into somewhere like Fiji, and pay for it.

Seems like after all this, even with this amazing idea, it might be hard to actually figure it out.

Seeking thoughts on how to advertise this and select crew. This would be a really adventurous play party, right?
