I’d love to hear why you prefer one over the other.

I can see that staying close to home is likely a much easier lift, especially if you have kids and need a sitter. But you have a risk of running into people you know (yes you’re all in the same boat, but still a risk of getting accidentally, or purposely, “outed”). You also run the risk of running into people you met at the club in other circumstances, which could be awkward.

Going out of the area could be great because it makes it like a sexy vacation, and less of a risk of your LS life crossing paths with your everyday life. But it costs more money for hotel, food, babysitter, etc.

While in the LS, has your preference for one or the other changed? If so, why?

For out of town clubs, I’m meaning going out of town specifically for going to a club, not choosing to hit a club while already traveling. I definitely see the allure in that, but not what I’m asking about.

Also, for those who choose to go out of their local area, how far away do you feel you need to go to feel comfortable?
