Long shot, any NOLA Mardi Gras recommendations?

My wife (27) and I (35) have been playing a bit over a year. We don’t play too often as we’re very discreet and usually play when on vacation. We usually have to tend to be very sneaky as when we vacation it’s usually with family.
Anywho, we decided to have a little getaway, she’s always wanted to try Mardi Gras and so we’re going to be there about a week, we get there Sunday. We obviously want to do the touristy thing, but we also want to have a few play sessions. Anyone in the area or been to the area have any recommendations or don’t’s they’d like to offer, long shot, just thought I’d ask.
