Why do swingers seem to dislike single men so much?

It's all in the title. In both what I've read online and experienced at parties, it seems like single men aren't exactly welcomed. Why is this?
I attend parties without my partner, and single women are welcomed with open arms. Is this because everyone is hoping for a unicorn but many men aren't open to adding another guy?
