STD testing

Post Body

Everyone talks about how important regular STD testing is and I agree! However, how do you actually get tested?! I tried the at home kit. I mailed it in and they said there was a problem and needed to mail me out another kit. Fine, fool me once. $100 lesson well learned. I’ve tried the free walk in clinics in my city. They take a few hours. I’m ok paying if it means my appointment is faster. So I make an appointment with my primary care physician. I have now seen a nurse, an MD, and am still sitting here 45 minutes later waiting for the blood draw and urine test. So I ask, when everyone talks about getting tested a few times per year, where are going? Because this is becoming an hours long errand and I’m sure hundreds of dollars even with insurance. I’m thinking the free walk in clinic might be the best bet if everything takes this long.
