My wife and I have had a lot of discussions about starting into swinging, with discussions about opening our relationship more after that. We're very secure with each other, but recognize any change like this is going to feel like a lot.
We both were married under strict evangelical church monogamous world views and even the discussions we've had would have been way out of the question just a few years ago. But our mindsets have shifted and we recognize we want to change our dynamic and find the relationship that suits us on our terms.
That brings us to mentors. We've realized in our talks that while we're excited, we're scared of being newbies and making avoidable mistakes. We'd love to find an experienced couple to talk to, ask lots of questions, be really in depth and leave no stone unturned. Obviously, nothing can really prepare us for the real thing besides going out and doing it, but we are planners and we like to be as prepared as possible for these kinds of big life changes.
My question is, how would you recommend we do this? Make a profile on SDC/SLS/Kasidie and have this same kind of verbiage? Try out a local club?
We're in San Antonio and there are a few options in town and in Austin. We're very excited, but we don't want to have a bad experience and spoil this for us when it's clear you all are having such a fucking great time. We want in! Thanks in advance.
It happened to us. We met a couple, which did take a somehow mentor role for us. Important was, we didn't searched for one and simply asked two questions. He responded to those and we started to chat.
He offered, if we have any questions, we always can ask him and we accepted. As lime you, we had lots of fears and other stuff to think about and he helped us through all of this. Through all of this, wo got really close and we all befriended each other.
