Long time lurker, occasional commenter, haven't made a post here in a while.

We just figured that we'd try to break up the chain of newbie posts, jealousy posts, etc. and post a wholesome positive update.

We've been in the LS since 2019, and despite a pause during lockdowns, progressing at our own pace pretty steadily. Posts on this sub and various other resources have been great. We feel like we are master communicators these days and really enjoy the freedom that comes with being able to discuss sexual situations freely has brought to our relationship. If you can talk about casually and consensually fucking other people, why communicate any differently about other aspects of life?

We aren't very hardcore about this. We are a typical suburban couple with kids who spend most of our time doing vanilla parent things to make sure our kids are engaged in activities and having fun. We are the "good neighbors". We just like to go out once every month or two and go wild at an orgy, or hang with another cool couple and see what happens.

Let this just serve as another anecdotal post that if you communicate insanely well, find a schedule or events that fit what you find you like, this can be a fun supplement to a great relationship!
