Hello Portuguese lovelies,
TL;DR, My wife and I are curious about which swinger clubs in Lisbon, Porto, or even Coimbra are best suited for us; foreign travelers, host some gender-balanced nights, and are run professionally.
What kind of clubs do we like? Clubs that have a welcoming host and well-trained staff make for a great time. A club that hosts some gender-balanced nights (couples or trios only, less single men) is more fun for us as a couple. Sex clubs that have a well designed space and layout, such as a dance floor, mingling/chatting area, orgy area for exhibitionishm/voyerueism, some private rooms but a decent amount of public rooms. Really any club that works towards turning wallflowers into willing participants is a sign of a well run Swinger establishment, we feel, because voyeurism and a well designed space can help with icebreaking. We even attended a speed-dating session in one club for all the newbys one night. What a great way to start the evening off with chatting with 10 other couples and getting quickly acquainted.
For anyone who is also familiar with Choice Social Club in Rhode Island USA, that is a club we have gone to about a dozen times. We like the layout and the amenities with about 100-200 people inside. Also, The Club Swinger in MedellĂn, Colombia with its indoor nude pool was a welcomed and fun change. I have no problem with the membership concept, as we have an annual membership at Choice. But if the club requires a long prescreen, yearly dues, or knowing someone in the club who is already a member, that doesnt work best for the traveler passing through for a week. So any gatekeeping that accepts the foreign traveler works for us too.
I have posted a similar search for Colombia last year: https://www.reddit.com/r/Swingers/comments/yjdedz/medellĂn_and_cartagena_colombia_how_is_the/
And I just posted a few minutes ago the same inquiry about Istanbul, Turkey as well, in a separate post. We are visiting Turkey right before Portugal, but I expect much less traction there as I imagine most things are pushed more underground and into the shadows, sadly.
So yeah, tell me about your good couple experiences in Lisbon, Porto, or Coimbra. I saw one redditor once said that Porto has more Swing Club options than Lisbon. I found that statement unbelievable when I saw that Porto had less than half the population of Lisbon, but good to know if that is true. We are looking forward to Portugal in the second half of August and early September!
