Do you usually stay connected with someone after sex?

Bare with me here... So we are a ( f/m ) couple new to the scene, we haven't played with anyone else yet but have been to a club to see what it's like. We have recently found someone who we've been talking to everyday for 2 weeks and we both really like her and are due to meet up next week for some fun, she is also staying with us for the night too. We would like to stay in touch with her after our play date.
Is this a normal thing to do?
I get that it's down to personal preferences and boundaries, however I'm just wondering if this is a common thing to do.
