Condoms and STI rates

I'm curious. I hear a lot of people saying "condoms always" but in practice see a lot of folks going without. I have zero concept of how prevalent STIs are in the swinger community vs general population.
Please note I'm interested in how we're all doing this with our playmates, not at home with our spouses or primary partners.
