This is probably way to much TMI but I am fairly certain that there are women in this group to fit my demographic of being in the middle of peri-menopause.
How do you manage your sporadic cycles and breakthrough bleeding episodes in this lifestyle? I met a fantastic third last month and when we played somehow blood was activated, much to my horror. I was not bleeding or on my cycle prior to the moment we engaged in play: It was very sporadic, likely he tapped into something that activated the blood flow He was so gracious and kind about it. He did a great job and made me feel very at ease. In fact, he kept repeating that he didn’t mind, and that I should relax. He actually fetched warm washcloths and literally helped clean up the crime scene, but as you can imagine, I was absolutely embarrassed. Well, fast forward to today. We have another date planned tonight and as luck would have it, I woke up this morning and I’m bleeding!!!! I don’t want to cancel, but I think I need to. I’m concerned he’s going to think I’m a total flake. Ugh!!!! I’m interested in hearing from women who are in a similar boat and face familiar biological / logistical challenges. It is very difficult to monitor and/or anticipate the situation when you are going through menopause. It is extremely frustrating. Advice?
Im not menopausal, but I had terrible bleeding after my son. Mirena IUD. Helped with bleeding (now I don’t even have periods) and leveled my mood. I am not sure if that’s something you could do or not…but I feel like your doctor should have something for random bleeding. Please don’t Google it. People have really big opinions about birth control and want to blame any type of birth control for everything. Only your GYN can really advise you
