I have been dating a man who says he's a swinger & ENM. I have NO experience with either. I am extremely nervous "when" ik the topic of opening up the relationship will happen (or I assume so). I am just not confident in myself keeping his sole interest, when that is all I have experienced in past relationships (monogomy). We have been monogomous this whole time, but I do worry bc compersion (I have been studying up on swinging) doesn't come naturally to me. I have read where the relationship opens after there is security established within it, but how does an ENM person really feel? Always open, no matter the time invested in the relationship; or is there hope that it can fade away, with open flirting being accepted? Also, what I've read is the couple seeking together, like starting soft swapping...but sometimes he talks like he would be getting the hall pass. It is like I don't get a chance to even ease my way in, before he just jumps back in to what he knows. Also, he hasn't been IN a relationship as a swinger, but more as an ENM as a dater...(no implied relationship w/past partner). Should I be focusing on more study as an ENM?
