I was recently diagnosed with asymptomatic (for now) hsv2.

It’s been a mental rollercoaster of a month but I’ve done the research, talked with doctors, I’m on antivirals now and I’ve disclosed to all partners (lost one because of it…that hurt)

Question for others with hsv1 and 2 diagnoses.

What has your experience been like when disclosing your hsv status at parties or events?

Obviously we will always disclose, but it seems like either hsv people just either don’t go to parties, there aren’t nearly enough people testing for HSV or people just flat out don’t disclose.

Since we’ve already experienced rejection from current (former) partners about it, we feel like we either need to just give up on public parties and events altogether or get used to the fact that most of the people there will think we’re “dirty”

Anyone have some advice about this?
