Hi all, we have some questions about swinger etiquette we were hoping this group could help answer:

1. Anklets on women. We’ve heard this is a sign that the couple or the woman is open to swinging but how common is this? We’ve seen women with anklets before we knew it was a swinger thing and never considered it anything more than body jewelry but now are curious just how well known it is? Would prefer not to make assumptions just because we see a woman wearing an anklet and then get into trouble…
2. Club etiquette: Maybe this warrants a separate post but are there well established rules for behavior at clubs? We assume the basic courtesies apply (e.g. not touching or groping without consent, be polite, don’t be an asshole, etc.) but given the more liberal atmosphere, are there any other things that we should be aware of that would be seen as detrimental? Examples might be how do you properly compliment a couple you’re interested in? What’s the best way to decline without getting people upset? How do you indicate interest in a couple? Are there specific phrases or key words that have special meanings that we should be aware of? We assume that condoms are required and you supply your own? What about lube? Do you bring your own wipes for clean up? (So many questions, sorry!!)
3. Attire at clubs: what’s the typical attire at a normal non-themed night? Women in sexy dresses? Lingerie? Men in suits? Business casual? Men in thongs/g-strings? Everyone naked?
4. When communicating online with a new couple or unicorn, is there an unspoken rule as to when to exchange pictures and what type of pictures?Verification protocol?
5. When do you typically establish the rules? Right before playing, or during the get-to-know-you period?
6. Any other norms or rules that we should be aware of? (Seems like don’t kiss/fuck and tell is a common one?)
