Well, me (40m) and my wife (34f) have put ourselves out there. We’ve met with a couple couples. But we have yet to find a match that we feel comfortable with. We are professionals with degree required careers. We enjoy arts, fine dining, and a little class. And while we aren’t looking for rocket scientist intelligence and an appreciate of modern art, we both agree that good grammar and a modicum of grey matter is something we are attracted to. With web sites, after weeding through the numerous dick pics, we found 3 couples who passed the initial “sniff test”. After meeting up with them for drinks, we found that these couples lacked and basic education or ability to coherently string together a sentence that wasn’t monosyllabic. The conversations on their parts seemed to be about reality TV stars, “getting fucked up”, and having the decorum of a barn yard animal. We really want to try this but are finding there are no compatible couples to find. Is there any advice on meeting couples who would fit this bill? We don’t need trim hard bodies as our match. We want great conversation to help grease the wheels. Am I being too picky? Are our standards just too high?
