We joined those of you in the Lifestyle crowd almost 2 years ago now. We are a (in our opinion) attractive couple in our 40's. We have been married since high school... so to us we are totally normal.

Our first experience was at Desire in Mexico and we loved it, exactly what we wanted, open honest friendships and no superficial boundaries. We have been back 6 times in the past 2 years, and also been to a few clubs. Every trip we go on, we meet 2-4 couples and click very well, and have stayed friends at a distance, as they all live states / countries away.

So here is the question, locally we can not seem to meet anyone that wants to be friends. We have always had very few friends since moving away after college. We always tried. Despite caring for others, and being genuine, in addition inviting people to boat, off-road, go concerts, etc... we have always had only 1-2 friends. So when we joined the LS we had such "success" at Desire we where ecstatic that we found "our people". The good part is we have met several dozen couples and click well.

We just have had no lock still locally, and wonder if we lived near the others would it be the same. Maybe we chat to much, maybe we are ugly and un-aware. Are we ass holes and don't know it?

A typical local couple typically is a dinner date, met with great conversations. A follow up text saying how lovely it was, and can't wait until next time. We will often try not to be too much and wait a day or so and send a flirty text or two, or just a hello checking in note. Often sending a note every 1-2 weeks and slowly moving on as we get noting back. Not ghosted, just no energy or flirting.

So I guess question. Based on this, maybe a peek at our profile on Kasidie or SDS and our photo's... what is wrong with us? We are ok with honest feedback. We appreciate any advice or thoughts you can share! How often should we message others? How long should we wait between? If they send a photo we generally acknowledge and compliment a feature. Should we not? We can't figure out if we are too much or not enough.
