Do you tell your friends/family about your lifestyle?

My partner and I have just dipped our toes in the lifestyle and had a MFM threesome. It was such a great experience that I would love to discuss it with someone other than my partner but I have a feeling that my friends won’t really understand or be supportive.
What has your experience been?

MFM is amazing, but our vanilla friends don't need to know about it. There are plenty of people in the lifestyle who get it. You can chat with them.
I've only told 1 friend and lucked out that she's had open relationships/3somes in her past. If other friends ever asked I would probably open up but family is a hard no. What have you got to gain for your family knowing the sexual dynamics of your relationship?
