Best open water swims near Charlotte, NC?

Hi All. I swim pretty regularly with a Masters group, and have done one open water swim before in a lake, but would really like to do more. The swim I completed was only 2 miles… would be interested in doing a 3 mile or 5K. Has anyone done any near Charlotte that they’d recommend? Was considering either Charleston or Bluffton…
