I’ve been thinking about getting some new piercings, but I’ve put it off over the years because I love being in the water. Now I’m feeling ready to take the plunge, and I’m curious about how water exposure affects piercings.
I’m not planning on swimming frequently or wearing a swim cap. My water exposure will be more occasional, like a day at the beach or on vacation. I’m wondering about your experiences with having piercings in spring water, seawater, or chlorine water.
I’m considering getting cartilage ear piercings, which take 6 months to a year to heal, and possibly lobe piercings as well. Do you leave them as is or cover them? What are your tips for cleaning them afterward?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
