One thing that’s always interested me about Taylor was the close bond she crafted with her fans. She’s been able to achieve this very tight knit community of fans who support everything she does. This relationship has proven to be very profitable for Taylor and has helped her achieve longevity in her career. I’m interested in knowing why others haven’t tried to duplicate this type of relationship with their audience. A lot of K-pop artists/groups are able to create loyal and dedicated fandoms but it seems like a lot of western artist don’t really do the same. Do you think it’s a lot harder to create these dedicated fandoms these days?
A lot of artist are never able to achieve longevity because of lack of support/interest from fans or are simply out grown by their audience. This is something Taylor has been able to avoid throughout her career. Considering how probitable this type of relationship with an audience is, I’m shocked not a lot of artist try to recreate this.
I think stan twitter has made her more nervous about reaching out for fan meetups. I’d be nervous too if I were in her shoes
