Hey all,
I hope it's okay to share here! I used to be a developer 10 years ago but switched career paths so haven't coded anything in a while. During the quarantine I decided to learn Swift/SwiftUI with no real goal in mind, and a few weeks later I have a full fledged app with multiple updates in the App Store!
Meet Toronto Wizard, an app that's meant to quickly answer every day questions. It's got a Waste Wizard, which tells whether waste items go in recycling, garbage or organics (with Siri support!), a waste collection schedule, beach quality maps, transit vehicle arrival times, and an up-to-date map of all the street closures/sidewalk widening efforts the city is doing in response to COVID!
The app is 90% SwiftUI. I obviously had to use UIKit Views for the map and an HTML label. But, I figured out a way to use SwiftUI views for the Map Callouts
