Basically, I'm a guy in my 30s that wants to learn Swedish. My goal? To live and work in Sweden in the not so distant future. To even think about looking for work there, I need to learn the language. Other than that, I love the language itself and would probably learn it anyway but I love the way it sounds. Not to give my whole biography, but I love Sweden, the culture, the language, etc....
But how do I learn a language from scratch when I don't have tons of free time. I work full time (with a healthy commute) and I'm usually pretty tired after work (but I'll still make time when I need to). Sure, weekends can work when I have free time then but it isn't easy considering how long it takes to learn a language. And I don't want to wait years and years before I feel comfortable enough to look for jobs in Sverige.
Right now, I bought Pimsleur so I can use it on my commute to and from work each day just to start off. I also listen to Swedish music and watch the occasional Swedish show when I get a chance. But I don't have the capital to hire private tutors though. And even if covid wasn't a thing, there weren't any Swedish meetups in my area anyway.
But any advice, tricks, suggestions, or whatever to learn this wonderful language would be appreciated. Or any ideas concerning moving and finding work in Sweden in general would be cool too. I'm an EU citizen if that makes a difference. Thanks
