What is your experience with phone connectivity and navigation?

Connection seems so complex and fragile. I have company email software on my phone so I cannot turn off auto-lock. It seems this renders all apps non functional? Iām disappointed and frustrated. I had hoped for maps if not navigation. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?
