Stuck on Zone challenge 9. No idea how to complete it.

Does anyone have any pointers for completing zone challenge 9? Doing my head in
So, I can get to 5:30 with lightchaser, but due to the homing blue projectiles, and there is nothing I can do to evade it.
Tried with VP, struggled to get to 4:30. Does VPās shield at evo protect from those blue balls, and is this the only way to survive this bs challenge?
Tried with TL and no dice either.
Honestly making me rage hard.
