Hi all. My company is looking into getting a copy of Global Mapper soon. We are deciding between the Single Node Locked or the Single Floating License. For context, processing is mostly done on our workstation PC at the office. My concerns are:
Needing to bring GM with me to the worksite. There would be times where I would have to be on-site for days, and it would be useful for me to be able to do some processing on-site instead of doing it all after I'm back in the office.
PC breakdown. In case my PC breaks down with the license still unreleased from the PC, how does the license recovery process works (especially post-M&S expiry)? From what I had read so far, for the Single Floating License, I would have to access the software and release the license before I could use it on another device so I'm not sure how the process would be if the PC breaks down post-M&S expiry.
Thanks in advance for the help folks.
Not sure if it was still available but we went with a dongle option.
Global mapper was installed on 5 PC's and we'd just take the dongle if we intend to use it.
