Classified Container Glitch??

I scanned one of my secret intelligence laptops yesterday and it led to a classified container.

However, when I got close enough to the area, the icon on the map for the classified container disappeared.

When I checked my quest tab, it said that I had already picked up the container, yet I did not. The next objective was to "look for the container in the vicinity".

I looked for it everywhere top to bottom of anywhere it could possibly be, but to no avail. I eventually gave up because I looked for like an hour and couldn't find it at all.

This was extremely frustrating. Has anyone experienced this? Did I do something wrong?
