I have a Surface Book i7 with 16GB of RAM and I'm having an issue that's really frustrating me because I can't figure it out. When I play 2D games on my device and play them at a resolution lower than 3000x2000, screen tearing is awful and makes games really frustrating to play. I'm further perplexed because in windowed mode for any game, even at 3000x2000, games will run perfectly without any tearing.
The games are not demanding and barely use the capacity of the device but nevertheless continue tearing constantly. I enabled the high performance mode through the Command Prompt and this did not help. I've also tried the new Game Mode from the Creators Update and plugging it in (vs playing on battery) which helps with some game performance issues. What else can I do? This is driving me crazy!!
