I've recently been having an issue with my Surface Book 1 where the keyboard base is usually showing as "Hardware Failure" on the DTX info on the taskbar. I'm not sure what's going on, as the kb base's battery, charging port, keyboard, etc are all working without issue, but the dGPU is not functioning when it's showing this state, which is most of the time.
Additionally, when I have the Surface Book on, the hardware power and volume keys on the clipboard aren't functioning, but they do when the PC is powered off to turn the device on.
I haven't always had these issues happening. I believe they started happening after a recent Windows Update, so I was wondering if anyone could offer solutions for the issue, in Windows or otherwise. So far I have tried the Surface Diagnostic Tool, fully charging clipboard separately on its own before connecting to kb base, and using the sfc /scannow tool. I am currently running 19043.985.
