Issues with brand new Surface Laptop 3

Post Body

I bought a new Surface Laptop 3 last week and noticed a few issues right away, 15" AMD Ryzen 5, 128GB SSD & 8GB Ram.

This laptop is just for work e-mail, spreadsheets, docs, etc. Light work so I figured these specs were more than adequate for that work load. I'm sure even with 8/128 it should be more than enough for me.

Right away I noticed how slow it was loading webpages and simple tasks. Most webpages load slower than what I expect from a new laptop. Notable, going from full screen to normal on YouTube there is a 2 second "delay". It'll go half way to full screen, stop for 2 seconds then be full screen. Same in reverse.

I know this isn't an internet as issue I'm in the same room as the modem with 1GB down. I tested it on my data and had the same issues.

Secondly which is the largest and honestly makes it unusable is that it disconnects WiFi after 30-60 minutes. I've noticed this happen in 3 different Google Meet team meetings over the last week which I can't have happening.

Is this just a bad unit or are these known issues with the Surface 3? Anything I can do to remedy this or any other laptops in the same price range (1200-1500 CAD, preferably closer to 1200 like I paid for this on sale) for my use case?
