The feet fell off my Surface Laptop Studio this morning, and I'm trying to clean the adhesive off. The official support page for replacing the feet says to use 70% isopropyl alcohol, but that is doing literally nothing - no matter how much I use or how long I rub, all it does is temporarily make the glue less tacky (presumably because it's getting wet).
Google's AI suggests using nail polish remover, vinegar, and store-bought glue remover. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience removing this adhesive residue, and what methods you tried that worked/didn't work, and if they caused any damage to the finish of the laptop.
