Battery Storage percentage...

Currently, I don't use my Surface Pro 9 very often and it usually just sits in my backpack. What is the best condition to leave the battery in for storage, or does it even matter? Sometimes I will go two weeks or more without using it. I just don't want the battery life to be shortened by keeping it fully charged.... or am I waaaaaay off base here and should just keep it fully charged?
