Surface Pen doesnt work

So my Surface Pen isn't working and i tried everything i could find. Switched out the batteries, deleted every pen related HID in the device manager and even the ones for the Touchscreen but nothing worked. All it does is shining a green light without stopping i had to buy new batteries because the "old" ones were empty within a day because of that. I have to add that i bought the Surface Pro used from Ebay and works just fine (the tablet, the cover, the charger) everything but the pen. I'm out of ideas and I really dont want to buy a new one. Every help is appreciated
