I know there is a lot of talk about not writing a letter and the regret that came with it.
I think my issue is that she never let me have my say. She ended up having a serious mental health breakdown based on all her lies, drug use and because of the smear campaign and I didn’t get to say anything.
I understand the standard advice is to not send anything, but this will be the last time we interact as she is picking up the last of her things.
Did any of you end up in a situation you never got to say your piece and still moved on fine? I should say I want to send it once she has picked up her stuff and then block her, I don’t want a response.
EDIT: Thank you so much for all the comments, I’ll keep coming back to them anytime I feel the urge, some real wisdom out there. I suppose i should prepare for this urge to come but realise it can pass as long as I keep in mind all the reasons laid out to me below.
