Hey guys, forgive the terrible title of this but I was just wondering if anyone has tips for me dealing with my partner’s upcoming birthday. Last year this time, he was sleeping with his second AP (at least the second one he’s been physical with…allegedly). Like he was literally sleeping with her before and after the actual birthday, which he spent at my house.

He had been kicked out of the house bc I started discovering the breadcrumbs of cheating (photos, texts, etc) but because I had no idea it was as bad as it was, I assumed it was limited to sexting and stupidly agreed to still being exclusive while we were separate (he definitely wasn’t). While he was away, I was severely depressed and stressed about my financial situation (I was unemployed at the time); even so, I bought him presents on my credit card (still paying this off mind you) and celebrated him.

Now knowing what I know, I’m having a hard time mustering up the fucks to give. I have a feeling we will break up before the end of the year bc I’m generally disgusted by him more often than not these days. He hurt me for absolutely no reason, I’ll never get over that. But I’m here until I can afford to be on my own again so here I am asking the audience, what should I do? I can’t afford to buy him anything this year anyways but like how should I proceed forward in the day? He took the day off of work in advance and I don’t thrive off being petty or mean so I’m not sure if ignoring it all together is the right move?
