Since people are complaining about no new DD, I respectfully resubmit: Analyzing SuperStonk Through Social Movement Theory

Post Body

This originally slipped through the cracks and didnt catch on when it was first submitted, so here it is. Hope this helps put some of the complaints that there is no new DD and dying engagement to rest. I wrote out this 25 page paper on why SuperStonk is the most powerful movement in modern times (movement as in a means for change, not as in coordinated efforts to make change - happy to discuss the difference) and months later, I have barely posted but I continue to check new posts at least once an hour while at work, and yet I barely participate in any way that's measured by analytics. I'm zen, and I can wait for years if I need to. Don't fall for the fud.

Here it is! https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/tpq9mf/the_social_movement_theory_dd_why_superstonk_will

TL;DR:

GME/SuperStonk is a revolutionary movement that’s using revolutionary strategies and organizing tactics to target enemies who have never faced real repercussions for their actions before. Because of that, there are many, many reasons to believe that GME might be one of the most successful movements of our time. See you on the moon.

Longer Summary:

This DD looks at SuperStonk through the lens of social movements to explain why it is a more powerful force for change than a casual observer might realize. First this paper will explain a few key concepts that are relevant to understanding social movements to give readers a framework to understand GME through that lens. That is all fundamentals, but it is important to build up the actual discussion around how SuperStonk works within its movement. Then, I will discuss how the internet changed the game for social movements, the full extent of which is still widely underappreciated outside by many. This will be followed by a discussion of SuperStonk and how it functions, both as a community and as a platform to reach its goals in the most efficient way possible. This includes looking at various ways that the movement works in relation to its capabilities in relation to its goal. Finally, I will discuss some key threats that the movement faces. All this will explain why the movement is in as good of a position as possible for a movement to succeed in the modern age.
