I'm starting to think seriously about what immediate steps to take after MOASS starts to ensure the safety of my gains. Looking for opinions.

Fellow Apes,

I truly believe that the big banks and SHFs will not let any of us ride-off into the sunset after MOASS.

I believe this because we know GME is just the tip of the iceberg of a fraudulent derivatives complex, that is so large—an order of magnitude greater than the entire global economy—that there is not enough of anything in the world to back it.

When MOASS kicks off, it's going to create a shit storm tsunami of margin calls that I think will be the catalyst that unwinds the entire derivative market and in short order puts the entire financial system at risk of collapse.

In this time, I think there will create a brief window to sell for life changing money and actually get paid out before;

  1. The counter-party fails to settle for the sale.
  2. Your local bank goes insolvent/bankrupt.
  3. Bank runs begin and your local bank bails your funds in.

So thus, I must ask.

Once we all sell 5% of our holdings for phone numbers and we've got money in our accounts, what do we do next?

I believe this will be our Michael Baum moment from The Big Short. It will be critical to de-risk our cash holdings from a looming banking crisis which could see our deposits seized.

Personally, I'm thinking of researching the balance sheets of credit unions to find the most stable. From there, I'll deposit Computershare sales into an account with a couple of them and immediately diversify my profits into;

  • Liquid (Mix of bullion, cash, and retail deposits): 20%
  • Rolling 26 Week T-Bills: 10%
  • Rolling 52 Week T-Bills: 40%
  • Rolling 2 Year T-Notes 20%
  • Rolling 3 Year T-Notes: 10%

Keeping all of that in mind, does anyone have any better ideas?

Personally, I don't think the FDIC is gonna be solvent for very long when this pops off. Otherwise, I don't have a FED master account, so treasuries/bullion seem like the next best short-term options.

tldr: SHFs would rather flip the board than the lose at their own game. I believe GME MOASS will be the catalyst for a systemic banking crisis. When that occurs, we'll have maybe a week or two to get into safe harbors in the form of non-banking assets.

...how would you feel about a week ( or so ) long community voted "best of..." playoff bracket where the community brings forth and votes on DD, memes, "Best Moment(s)", and maybe a few other categories?

Be a great way to dust off old DD and stories, while allowing the community to vote the more impactful of each category?

This is something I've been working on and want to get random community input.

Oh, the best meme category is cemented, no doubt about that.

Ape Historian is about to get so many requests lol

That's my intention.
3 years of DD and memes is a LOT to rummage through.

 I’d make the first round a week long so everyone has time to catch up or reread. We can move faster after that.

Great point.

I appreciate the input. I'll do my best to get this organized asap

Currently in the works. Just might need some Ape-help with the graphic design
