Can someone explain why ‘meme’ stocks all move together?

Post Body

I know gme isn’t a meme. It’s the best investment in the world.

If someone could explain why headphones and popcorn move in the same direction as GameStop, that would be helpful.

And I know they are in a basket, and swaps exist, but I don’t get why the prices all move in the same direction.

Also, is that a good thing, or is that being used to hurt gme. If so, how?

Comments

Basket swaps.
