So lets say MOASS happens and the trade price goes to 1000$ per share (just a random number), what happens then?

The short squeeze would require calls instead of owning the stock to cash out on, as nobody will be willing to actually buy the stock at 1000$ so what would happen if we have stock and it goes to that? Yes on paper we would own stock at that price, but we wouldnt be able to sell it so how would we consolidate our wealth at that point? I know diamond hands means we hold on to it, but at what point do we make any actual money?

Also... in the case of VW, the stock price crashed at some point after the squeeze, so realistically we could get back down to 20$ or worse, meaning we were millionaires only for it to revert.

Is there something I am missing?
