One of the best parts of supernatural is the concept that literally anything can happen. So I found it odd how tame the last episode was. Dean dies, sam grows old boom over. Is that it! They should of had them defeat god a little earlier in the season. Imagine a four episode ending where same and Dean grow really old together. The last scene before they go to heaven together could be the bunker completely surrounded by monsters. Sam and Dean are both in their 80s wearing complete tactical gear covered in magic artifacts, sigils. Sam could have Mjolnir in one hand, and the spear of destiny in the other. Dean could have his purgatory weapon, and the grenade launcher with glowing sigils on it. They could’ve had an all out monster/ magic war in the bunker! What a missed opportunity. But I do respect the nice clean ending the show gets. It’s just very unfitting that Sam and Dean don’t go down together swinging in classic supernatural fashion.
