SKILLS: Apex wields a spear forged out of Shadow Steel. He’s trained in many forms of martial arts learned from his father’s books and invented a few of his own from playing with his wolf family. On a trip to show off their studies their plane was shot out of the sky by a warlord and they crash landed on the mysterious Howl Island, a place lost to time.

The two survived and eventually their son Roman was born. He was born sick and the only way to save him was to give him the experimental serum, Lupos X so they decided to inject him with it. However the warlord that shot them down discovered their safety beacon and came to investigate. Jane and Clayton hid their son under the bed and attempted to fight off the warlord only to die by his hands.

A pack of wolves heard his cries and took him in as one of their own nursing him to health and training him in their ways. Roman kept up with them, teaching himself to read with his father’s books while sparring and training with his canine siblings. Eventually a research team came to Howl Island and discovered Roman. They took him back to America where he reunited with his grandpa and met the rest of his colorful family. He saw the city that his parents loved so much in ruin and decided to do something about it by becoming Apex, hunting criminals down like his prey.
