So, I'm almost done sanding the fiberglass repairs on the rails of my CruiserSUP (not anymore, she's gonna be a customer job now!) I'll link the previous post with pics in the comments. I'm planning on custom painting the whole board. My question is would I be better to epoxy coat or just clear coat the board to protect it after all's said and done? I feel like epoxy would be tougher but also heavier and I've read here and there it may not bond as well? A lot of the surfboard stuff I read said just to use clear coat. Thoughts? Insights? I want it to be well protected but also not crazy heavy. Think I'm leaning just clear coat at the moment. Thanks fo checking in!
