Question for police
Post Body

So I've been working on restomodding an old car for a little over a year. I've finally reached a point of moderate drivability, but no way in hell is it passing smog. Been working on cars since I was 16, spent time as a race engineer, owned a shop, and was a professional driver. The only way this thing is gonna get better is to blow out the cobwebs.

Now, here's my question.

There was a time when you could find a cool cop that would give a temporary move permit and he'd casually forget to write in the date. So long as it wasn't taken advantage of, no big deal. Do those cool cops still exist? I just need to drive it to work for a week or so to get the sticky injector to free itself up.
