Hello!

As the title says I'm looking to get a bike. Ideally I get this bike around 8 months from now when I've finished with my car loan. I'm thinking used, ideally less than $5k. I'm completely new to motorcycles. I looked over some guides for new riders and basics of the different styles of bikes. I'm leaning towards some kind of naked bike. I'd ideally be using this bike 2-3 times a week about an hour each way. I don't have any particular desire to use the bike off-road. I don't really feel like I would like a cruiser style. I'm 5'10" 240lbs, but ideally I'll be more like 200lbs by the time I'm actually buying. Does a sport-style bike (I think that's the kind with the more forward riding position) get uncomfortable for long distances?

Any general advice for starting out is also appreciated.

On a side note, if anyone has experience getting certified to ride a motorcycle in CT, I'll gladly take any tips.
