MAKE SURE YOU PUT BUDGET RANGE & COUNTRY IN YOUR TITLE The Form

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:

-$500CAD/Canadian Dollar-

Are you open to refurbs/used?

-No. Need it to last a while.-

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

-Can't be 2 in 1, but it needs decent performance. It is mainly being used for browsing and streaming the internet and using media software such as photoshop, not high graphics gaming.-

How important is weight and thinness to you?

-Needs to be as light as possible, can't be heavy.-

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

-Minimum 13 inches, 15 inches would be ideal-

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

-Photoshop, Illustrator, Video editing (Adobe Premiere etc)-

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

-Gaming doesn't matter-

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

-No touch screen preferably. Reliable build quality would be good so it will last for a long time.-

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

This laptop is for my mom, and she doesn't like heavy laptops. She is concerned about performance because of bad experience with older PC laptops, but she does not game. It also needs to have an SSD, and should have at least 200GB of storage space. Computer needs to be lightweight so it is ergonomical to use. She doesn't like fancy features such as 2 in 1 or touchscreens, so it can't have those features. Also, NO CHROMEBOOKS. It would be nice if it is available on Amazon Canada, but it doesn't have to be. Ideally it should run on Windows 10 as that is what she is familiar with. Since I'm more familiar with gaming computers, I don't really know what to look for in good general use laptops, and there are just so many! I will really appreciate any help!
