I am going to college this year and I need/want a very powerful laptop. Since I am going to study Applied Computer Science with pathway software engineering I immediately thought of a thinkpad. Now I bought for this year in the summer vacations a Thinkpad Z16 but here I have a really bad experience, it becomes much too hot (overheating and cooling issues), it freezes sometimes then display falls out for few seconds and only then I can perform actions, on idle the laptop becomes 70-90 degrees and I am 100% sure that there is something wrong with my model since my friend has the same specs and model and we have compared it and his laptop does not freeze overheat not, becomes nice and cool and the fans start faster and run better than my current model. Battery was also 2-4 hours with 4K OLED at about 30% brightness. During stress tests the CPU got 100 degrees celsius and my ssd on idle also got 70-80 degrees and in the beginning sometimes it just dropped out for safety measures. I had then decided to send this to a repair center as they recommended this to me but as it turns out, everything seems normal and they just sent this back with a random cardboard box and NOT the original lenovo box of my laptop that I had sent to the repair center. So my question is, my budget is around 3300 euro maximum and I live in Belgium (europe). Which laptop do you guys recommend that is powerful, has few problems like cooling etc and is gigantically loved by (lenovo) community?
