Are you open to refurbs/used?**
Honestly, not really
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
Performance first, build quality, form factor and battery life last
How important is weight and thinness to you?**
Medium importance, for both
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.**
14 inches maximum
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Light video editing, definitely not 4K. I'll probably use a free program for this.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
I will not be gaming.
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?**
I need for it to have a minimum 16Gb of RAM, and a high quality processer. I don't care for tablet convertible laptops either, or something that's plastic. I ideally want a laptop I can use for the next 10 years.
I'd also love something with 2-3 usb ports, good Bluetooth and wifi connectivity.
I have a preference for Windows as well so please no Apple suggestions!
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.**
I want to learn more about processors. I know that the Intel i7 is very good, but that's pretty much all I know. I'm open to learning more.
Thank you so much to everyone that helps!
