So I just replaced the display cable of my girlfriends laptop (HP ProBook 430 G2) for the second time because it broke again. The webcam had been broken for a while (shares a cable) and one of the WiFi antennas also broke. I will not be doing this a third time because the laptop is already 6 years old and two of the screw holes of the body have broken off while disassembling and I've had to hotglue them in place...
Can somebody please suggest a laptop or line of laptops that are known for having sturdy connectors/cables in the hinge that are not prone to breaking? Alternatively a machine that is built to be easily repairable.
Use case per title: office work, web browsing, media consumption. I will be running Linux. 13" screen Max.
